Thanks. Blessings. Hats. Proverbs 31

Thankful and Blessed

This big move to Texas has made it a bit more difficult to work at my previous pace like when we lived in Pennsylvania. Not only has it been a location change but a whole family adjustment. I don't have the support system down here yet, like I had back home with my Mom and friends to help with the kiddies and the house. Along with my husband preparing for a deployment(our first one in 10 years, due to his job moving us like crazy we've been very blessed to not have him deployed as much as others) and helping my children adjust to the new place I've certainly struggled with not keeping my quick pace as I did the last two years. I'm just now starting to pick up the pace with the order list and I am so very grateful for each order that has been placed with me. Money has been tighter than ever with the move, the house, the emergency leave to PA, and all of the other hills we've climbed this year. So my businesses have been pulling us through and so I am very very thankful to each of you who've placed orders with me this season and all of the years in the past. Your support of this working at home military Momma definitely has not gone unseen, you've truly blessed me and my family. Below are some of the hats I've done so far for the 2012 Hat Season.

Bulldozer Hat, each piece was crocheted then sewn together to give this hat a custom look for a very busy little guy.

Rapunzel hat with Antique flare, this hat was so much fun to make for a special little gal, each button was chosen by my own little girls and they also helped place each flower. I love how vintage this hat feels and looks, it certainly is a unique hat!

Sports Teams Hats
The Pirates hat was a simple and neat hat to make, I really enjoyed hand stitching the Pirate eye patch that accented this hat perfectly.

The Buckeye Hat, this little hat was fun to make also, it was neat to see this character come alive for a special little guy!

Momma's Monster Hat, has always been one of my top sellers for little boys. My son's love their hats and I hope the little guy who received this very colorful hat loves his too.

 Brown Bear Hat with soft and vintage pinks with matching Boots. Love!

Booties, these were fun to make and I added vintage and antique buttons to give them even more character.

Minnie Hat with cream bow, this custom order was made to match the little gal's jacket, how sweet!

Kitty! Love the heart shaped nose for this hat, really added the sweet character to match the little gal's bubbly personality!

This set of hats was so adorable to make, I just love how they came out. So simple yet so sweet!

Matching striped hats, simple yet full of character!

OWLS! I've certainly been busy with making these loveable designs, should have gotten better pics of them. They are super adorable and it seems everyone has their own style that they like. The above one is a fluffy Camo with Orange accents and the bottom two are more whimsical with the soft colors. Love making OWLS, such a Hoot!

Baby Camo Beanie~

Lovin' this Lil Monkey, her eyelashes surely add an adorable flare to this design, just love when I can get the personality of a hat to come out with small details.

This a character hat, though not sure what character...haha....still loving the simpleness of this beanie!

CUPCAKE Beanies~~~ These defiantly are starting to catch on even more, they are super fun to make from their frosting stitch and hand stitched sprinkles to their one of a kind cherry topper. Love that the customer went on Hobby Lobby and picked their exact bottom colors. LOVE knowing I'm doing exactly what they have dreamed up.

As you can tell I get really excited to share this gift of designing with yarn, getting to make what others dream up is such an awesome God given gift. I am very thankful that I can make something that will put a smile on other people's faces and brighten their day. On my journey of the Proverbs 31 Woman I've got to know myself in a way I never thought I would, it certainly has changed my life and impacted my family life. That is where all of this has began for me, my business has been completely blessed from above and as I continue to follow on this path. I'm lead to share again my inspiration for Custom Designs by Nicole, especially verses 13, 16, 17, 18, 24, and 27 for this business.

Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character

10
[b]A wife of noble character who can find?

    She is worth far more than rubies.
11
Her husband has full confidence in her
    and lacks nothing of value.
12
She brings him good, not harm,
    all the days of her life.
13
She selects wool and flax
    and works with eager hands.
14
She is like the merchant ships,
    bringing her food from afar.
15
She gets up while it is still night;
    she provides food for her family
    and portions for her female servants.
16
She considers a field and buys it;
    out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17
She sets about her work vigorously;
    her arms are strong for her tasks.
18
She sees that her trading is profitable,
    and her lamp does not go out at night.
19
In her hand she holds the distaff
    and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20
She opens her arms to the poor
    and extends her hands to the needy.
21
When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
    for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22
She makes coverings for her bed;
    she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23
Her husband is respected at the city gate,
    where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24
She makes linen garments and sells them,
    and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25
She is clothed with strength and dignity;
    she can laugh at the days to come.
26
She speaks with wisdom,
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27
She watches over the affairs of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28
Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
29
“Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”
30
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31
Honor her for all that her hands have done,
    and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

This is such an inspirational passage and I pray that in sharing my journey that it will inspire others to see that God has provided this journey for all of us. You may not have the gift with yarn but the gifts you were provided from above can be used in this way also. The Lord gave you the perfect gifts for you to share with the world, whatever they are I challenge you to share them with all around you.

Thank you for visiting my blog and sharing in my journey as a Work at Home, Business Owner, Army Spouse and Momma of 4 beautiful blessings. Praising the Lord for the blessings that have been poured into me, may you know your support is truly something our family is thankful for, I pray that you continue to be blessing to all who surround you.
