Crochet Hat post or Zoo? It's up to you.

Hat Season is in full swing now and my hook has surely been kept busy with creating all of these wonderful designs. These first set of Lil' Lovely Lion hats were quite a handful as a set of lions would be. But they came out super adorable and were worth the time of tying each piece of hair for each mane. They were designed in the beanie hat style so that the hats can grow with each child.

These next two hats are in the Brimmed Edge style to give the hats a bit of fashion flare. The accenting flowers add to the character of the hats. For the little girl blue hat, it was accented with a simple white flower and vintage yellow button. When I say Vintage or Antique Buttons, they have come from estate sales or a grandmothers button jar that has been passed down to me, so they truly are vintage and some are antique.

This charcoal gray hat is accented with the same color flower which adds a bit of sophistication to this style of hat. It's not just a plain hat but with an added detail that really makes this design pop.

The Newborn Zebra Hat, this style if fun to work on because I do not do the stripes of black and white in any particular order. Each Zebra comes out different from the last one and when they are combined with a popping pink color it really makes this design stand out.

Perfect Petite Penguins. Loved working on this design for adorable penguins. I've done a different design in the past but I decided to do the white face part as part of the hat which added more of a whimsical look. Each of their bows are made on a clip so that their Momma can place it on the hat wherever she'd like them.

Loving this new design of the Owl Hat, using more than one color on the base of the hat and adding a fluffy accent really makes this design stand out. It's name is Sweet Fuzzy Owl and can be done in any color combination, thought the fluffy yarn colors I have are magenta, purple, denim blue, black and white, and camo. Love these two sweet owls they are for twins so I just used the same color pallet and then just reversed the colors.

This was a especially fun order to complete, the designs were done in the colorful Owl design with added tassels on the girl owls. These are for a set of Big Sisters who are awaiting the arrival of their new Baby Brother. So getting to design a family of Owls for a very excited family was very special and fun! This also is the first time I've done a yellow beak and I must say that it looks so adorable!

Brown Cow Hat, love the way this hat came out! I hadn't done a brown cow before so it was fun doing the research looking for pictures of brown cows, lol.  The way that all three colors on the hat work together really make this hat look grand. Just loving it!

Going to the same family the Polar Bear Hat, was also a first for me, came out super adorable. I did the base in a regular white yarn then used a fuzzy white yarn to accent the bottom and make the ears. Just love the way this lil bear came to life!

Thank you for stopping by my blog to read about my most recent designs, keep in mind all of my designs are made from my heart without a pattern. I just sit down with my yarn, picture what I need to make in my head then my hands go to work designing up what my customer has in mind. I've certainly been blessed from above with a gift I can share with others. I'm so very thankful to the Lord for blessing me with this business so that I can work at home with my little ones. I have a great set of friends on my facebook page which can be found at Custom Designs by Nicole and for them I'm truly grateful sharing my page by word of mouth and showing me encouragement. If you'd like to place an order please send me an email and we will chat about your design, keep in mind I can design anything you can dream up.

With a Hook and a Prayer crocheting with Love from Me to You,
Blessings,
